Today at TECH!

                                                             What I made at TECH!

Today at tech I made a "Twirly wirly" key ring, at my first class that was plastics.  To make it, first we drilled a hole in it then we shaped it to be smooth on the sides and the corners, then I polished it.  Then to make all twirly I put it in the oven for 10 minutes so it would soften up, after I took it out of the oven I got it with some clipper thing and twirled it up.  I loved the way it looked it was so cool, and very fun to make, I even made 2 more of them.  

For my next class we made cookies at cooking.  The ingredients were... 1/2 cup of butter, 1/2 a cup of flour, 2 tbsp of sugar, 1/2 tsp of baking powder and I think it was 2 tbsp of condensed milk.  I added all the ingredients together and after it was all mixed It looked a lot more like cookie crumbs than cookie dough.  Anyway then I rolled the dough into small balls and put them in the oven. While it was in the oven I cleaned up the table and did the dishes.  When it was done they looked pretty good, I wasn't expecting them to look or taste as good as they actually did.

                                                      I really enjoyed tech today!!

William Pike Challenge

   My passion project...

   For my passion project I have a lot of ideas about what I can do, for example I could do a small presentation on the life cycle  of butterflies for the juniors. Or I could go to a adrenaline forest, or I could learn a new language.

I honestly have no idea witch one I want to do, I think I'm going to do the presentation for the juniors, the reason why I don't really want to do the adrenaline forest is because I've already gone to one.  And if I were to learn a new language I would learn Spanish!

My first time back at tech...

                                                     My first time back at tech...

I was very happy to be back at tech, I was so excited!  In my first class at tech my group did plastics, we finished of our "Tik Tak Toe" game that we were making before lock-down.  

Then in our 2nd class we did cooking, we had a new teacher.  She was very nice her name was Miss Vokes.  Miss Vokes taught us how to make french toast,  she gave us an egg, a banana, a bread roll, some milk, a small cube of butter and a little bit of bacon.  She also gave us a recipe, she told us that she trusted us to do it ourselves responsibly.  I liked that we could do it by ourselves without having to do it step by step with very strict instructions.  First I wisked together the egg and the milk, then  I heated my pan on medium heat.  Then I dipped small slices of bread into the egg and milk stuff,  then I put the bread onto the pan to cook it.  I also cooked some slices of banana, and the bacon to.

When everything was cooked I put on a plate and did the dishes.  After I cleaned up my mess I had my food that I made, I made french toast with fried banana and bacon on the side.  I didn't eat all of it because it was very filling, so I offerd it to the people in the group.


I really enjoyed tech this week, we got to finish of what we were doing last time, and next week we are  gonna make cookies in cooking... I think.

My weekly story...

                                                             A dog's Life...
   
 I woke up and looked around the first thing I saw was something that looked very similar to me, but four times bigger!  Then I saw a really big looking thing it didn't look anything like me or my mum.  It was HUGE!!  Then the big thing picked me up and started making a big fuss over me,  she said I was "Adorable!" or something like that.  The last thing I know I was trampled over by five other me's (well they looked like me).  Then my mum gave me some milk!

   Today I'm going on my very first walk, with all my brothers and sisters.  I'm sooo excited!
Mum told me some stories about what happens when you go for a walk, she told me that there's other dogs!! I know right, its insane.  She also said that there's lots of different smells like really good sent's, and if your lucky there's free food on the floor.  OMG I can't wait!

 The moment you've all been waiting for... how was it?!  Well... it was amazing, I saw so many other dogs then we went to this huge grass area and there were heaps of great scents and smells.  And guess what there was heaps of sticks there too.  Oh wow it was great.  When we got back home I had some water and crashed onto the bed with mum and dreamed of my amazing trip.

  Today was very traumatizing,  the big looking thing witch is what we call a "HUMAN" gave us a bath.  She put us into the bath tub and scrubbed me and my brothers and sisters with soap.  I didn't really like it at all!  It was very annoying,  I didn't like it...OK.   Later that day we had visitors there was a small family of four, there was a mum a dad and two kids.  They kept picking me up and squeezing me to death!  Then they they shook hands with the human and left.  Well that was weird.

  Today was slightly different, we had those strange human visitors again.  Today when they came the human that looked after us looked a bit sad, I don't know why though.  Then the strange  humans picked me up and put me in a box, I don't really remember much after that besides the fact that I was very scared.  Were they gonna kill me?!  I want my muuuuuuumm!!

Four moths later...
Hi, my name is Charlie, I'm a 6 month old Chocolate labradoodle ( I'm also a male dog).  I live with a small family, one mum and one dad, one 5 year old boy and one 8 year old girl.  I love my family so much, but I still really miss my mum and my brothers and sisters very much.  This story was about my first few weeks of my life I hope you enjoyed my story.



Every day of this week I have written a paragraph for this story and I really hope you liked it!!

My first time back at school since lock-down.

      Coming back to school was very weird, I haven't seen people in what feels like 6 months!!

It was very strange, when I first walked in the classroom everyone was in little groups but separated I didn't really know what to do, so I just put my bag outside like I usually did.  Then I went to go say hi to my friends, it was kinda awkward. 

At home for school work we started of doing school for about 2 to 3 hours but kind of towards the end of lock-down we only did about 1 hour and a half minutes of work.   

   Coming to school I was very excited but slightly nervous.  My mum drove us to school then me and my brother went to his class room,then I raced to my class room.  

                                          But I was very happy to be back at school...

WHATS GROWING IN MY BACKYARD!

                                                Whats growing in my Backyard...

  Just before lock-down we managed to get some seeds and some soil to start our veggie garden.  Then at the beginning of lock-down we planted our very first veggie garden.  Now they have just started to grow!
In my garden I am growing some tomatoes, onion, beetroot, lettuce, coriander, radishes and more.

About the book I read "Once".

                                                                     Once... 
 The Author of Once is Morris Gleitzman .  
Morris Gleitzman wrote this book because he wanted to tell stories from all the Jewish children and authors that died in the Holocaust time ( the Holocaust time was when the leader of Germany wanted to kill all the Jewish people in Europe).  Morris's Grandfather was a jew from Krakow Poland.  He left long before that time, but his extended family didn't and most of them died. 

Morris Gleitzman was born in Sleaford, Lincolnshire,  England, 9 January 1953. 
He is a famous Australian Author (although he was born in England).  He grew up in England but immigrated to Australia in 1969.

This story was from his imagination, but it was inspired by real events.  "Once" is a book series, about a young boy, that tries to escape the orphanage that he was living in and runs into the Nazis like all the other Jewish people that lived in Europe did.  He goes through an amazing and very scary adventure to find his parents, to warn them about the Nazis.  

  

  

 

  
  

My HAIKU Poem.

                                                            HAIKU...
       A HAIKU poem is a type of traditional Japanese poetry called HAIKU (HI-KOO).               HAIKU poems consist of three lines the first and last line have 5 syllables and the middle line of         HAIKU  has 7 syllables. 
   HAIKU is a short form of Japanese poetry, typically characterized by three qualities.

A simple little story that I wrote

                                                   

                                                                 Ella's Friday...

One Friday morning as usual, Ella got out bed at 7:30 in the morning to get ready for school.  First she likes to pick out something to wear, today she chose to wear some stylish jeans with some cloth patches and a yellow top with some white sneakers.  Then she would make sure she had everything she needed in her school bag.   She would brush her teeth and her hair, and rinse her face with some cold tap water to wake her up. Afterwards she would make herself some  Breakfast.  

 Ella had to take the bus to school, because her parents were always working. Her dad was a diplomat
 and her mum was a preschool teacher. Ella wished that her parents spent more time with her.  Her mother came home 6:30 pm, but never had time for her only daughter.  Ella's  parents worked very hard witch meant that her family had a lot of money, but Ella didn't really care about money she just wanted somebody to talk to at the dinner table, someone to speak about her felling's, someone to give her a kiss at night before she went to bed.  Ella was very lonely at home, she only had her loving puppy Cookie and her great friend, that was well... her nanny. 

Anyway back to Ella's day. When Ella arrives at school she says  hi to her teachers and her friends. 

Ella's first class is  English history ( just in case you were wondering Ella is 13 and goes to a public High School in NZ ).  Ella's favorite subject was art, and she had two reasons why she prefers art over all the other subjects. Reason Number 1, Ella is a has a very artsy personality, she looooves sitting in her room and drawing in her top secret art diary.  Reason number 2, her CRUSH Tony is in her art class to and Tony is a popular guy at her school.  He is also artsy and nerdy like Ella ( that's why Ella likes him, because they have a lot in common ). 

When Ella came home from school she decided she should invite her friends over, after all it was Friday.  She invited her only two friends/ BFF's Sarah and Ava.  About 30 minutes later Ella's BFF's were here, first they talked a bit about there school life, then they made some popcorn and mug cakes to watch a movie... they all agreed on watching  "BEETLE JUICE"!! 

Then they couldn't be bothered in making dinner so they ordered pizza and watched "STRANGER THINGS" on Netflix. 

After dinner her friends had to go home, so Ella was once again alone, but Ella was happy she had an amazing day she really enjoyed herself.  She wished she spent more time like that with her parents. 

Ella went to bed and drew in her diary until her mother came home ( on Fridays her mum comes home a little later because she has some extra work to do). 

                                                   And that my friends was Ella's day...
