Maths

 

today in math we made graphs I made my graph about how many pets people have, 

For a graph u need to have a title, data labels, axis labels.

The data labels are the animals at the bottom eg, dog,cats fish.

The axis labels are the number of people who have those pets eg, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8.

going to town

 Yesterday we went to town. There were a few classes that went but there were lots of people and lots of different schools there too, first when we got there we went to Victoria square and we learnt about the different statues and things there.

There was a statue of captain cook and he was from britain, there was queen victoria , and the pou from the maori.

I learnt that before everyone came to new zealand the maori people used the queen victoria square as a market and they traded food and all sorts of things. 

After that we watched the tamahana performance, it was really good I really enjoyed it, I was a bit confused by it though because I don't really know much about it, but I would really like to learn more about it because I find it very interesting.

It was about Takaroa Papatuanuku falling in love, but when Takaroa left Papatuanuku and Rakinui got together and had lots of children, when Takaroa came back he got very mad and he wanted to fight Rakinui, Rakinui won and then the children got stuck in between there parents, and tane mahuta had to go and separate his parents to save his sibling because they were sick from the sun being blocked by there parents.

I don't know it exactly but that is a small summary of it.

Today I also learned  that in the in the south island they say takaroa instead of tangaroa and they rakinui instead of ranginui.

Maths 24/3

 Median = the middle number          eg: 3,4,5,6,7 median = 5

Mode = the most common number          eg: 3,4,4,5,6,6,6,7  mode = 6

Today in maths we were learning about averages, modes and medians.

Surfing School in Sumner

 Yesterday there was a group  of people that were invited to go to the surf school in sumna, first we did warm ups.

Then we just went in the water and at the start I didn’t catch many waves, but after a while we went out the back I went with Violet, Kiwa and Mr Redmond.

Mr Redmond and I caught a party wave together (a party wave is a when there are a few people on a wave at the same time), and it was a huge wave and we stood up on it together and I usually only stand up for like 2 seconds but this time I stood up for about 10 seconds or something, it was so fun I was quite proud of myself.

I caught a few waves like that after but it's quite difficult to get out the back because once you start  getting close to the back there are huge waves and they crash on you, well when I was trying to get to the back but there was a huge wave and it crashed into me and my board flipped over and hit me in the head and the fin hit my thigh and made a big bruise it hurt a lot.

After that we did a competition and we had to make teams and we all had to all do a party wave and we all had to stand up and do some other things, anyways my team won and we won a bag of lollies it was great.

Then we had lunch and went back to school. It was a great day and I really enjoyed it, today I learnt that I can stand up for longer than 2 seconds, it was so much fun and I hope we do it again.

This is my self potrait that I did it doesnt really look anything like me but thats ok, Im happy with the eyes I just wish they werent so close toghether and I don't have a bamgs either but I thought it would be funny to do them.

 One day my friend zoey was calling my phone and said that she wanted to hangout, she came over and had big news “I got my drivers license “! “Thats so cool we should drive up to that concert you were talking about.” I said.

Then violet came in and she was levitating in the air! “ why oh why are you in the air?”

She said it was because she was in a mood and she got mad at this strange old lady and then she said something wich sounded like gibberish, then violet  just started flying!

All this was giving me goosebumps, it was so crazy! “Zoey pinch me, is this just one of my crazy dreams”! Zoey pinches me… nothing happened, what am I supposed to do?

BANG! The door was wide open and the strange old lady walked in “oh hi, im your new neighbor”! “Your not my neighbor”! I said.

Then violet yelled “thats the lady who made me fly”! Then all of a sudden these blinding lights were in my face and then when the lights went away the lady wasn't there she just fade away, and it smelt like lemon pepper freestyle, then violet feel to the ground and knocked over my favorite pot plant “owwww” said violet, then the pot plant said “you broke me first”!

Hold on what just happened? “I  think i'm catching feelings with the pot plant”! Said zoey “i think were going to be lasting lovers”. Me and violet started cracking up, zoey was in love, how odd.

Whats next the pot plant and zoey drive down the streets, “ whats 34+35? “ said the pot plant.

Then i suggested that we go to the concert and celebrate zoey getting her drivers license “but what about the pot plant” said zoey, “i cant go without you “ said the pot plant!

So we decided to stay home and play video games since covid 19, me and violet were fitting over my favorite controller, while zoey was on her phone texting someone, I looked over on zoey's phone and all she wrote was texting her mum “help me out and bring me some food”

We started playing just dance and I got a bigger than violet, next we played a song called astronaut in the sea , it was really difficult i did my best with my head and heart .

Then we decided to order pizza and eat it outside, we went outside with our food and we watched the sundown and i cold feel the heat waves  on my face, today was so crazy after awhile we saw fireflies in the sky they were so pretty. These were good days .

tech week 7

 Yesterday in tech we made dumplings and they were so yummy,  in it I put meat, garlic, hot sauce, ginger, onion and spinach.

They were so yummy Im going to ask my dad if we can make them this weekend because I really enjoyed I wish I didn't put to much hot sauce on it though.

                          Making Graphs

This week we have been amking graphs about worksheets that we have been doing with factors, greatest factors multiplication and a sidocu.

gymnastics week 7

 Yesterday in gymnastics we first did the beams that was one of my favorite ones it was so fun, we did different things on it like lying on it and keeping our feet up that made me laugh, then we did bars that was my least favorite because it was so boring we had to walk on these things I don't really know how to explain but it was quite boring.

Then we went to the really bouncy trampoline into the foam pit we did fun jumps into the pit and I did front flip in the pit, it was so fun.

Then we went on the mat and we did rolly pollies and some tricks and stuff like that, it was easy , after that we went on the ropes and it was so fun and I went so high up after awhile it was to hard and my feet were getting hands were getting slippery so  i went down.

It was a great day and I really enjoyed it!

gymnastics

 

  

Yesterday we did gymnastics at the gym near QE2 and it was so much fun, we did tramp first and we had to jump along the tramp thing doing diffrent things like donkey kicks and some other stuff.  Then we did a tramp near the foam pit, and we jumped so high it was fun we had to do twirly wirlys into the foam pit it was so fun, then we the bars and that photo is a photo of me hanging upsidown that was fun, we also did the beams taht was a bit boring cause a bit to easy.

It was so much fun and im so excited for next time.

100 questions week 6

 today we did 100 questions, today I had 4 minutes of because I was doing something.

I got 66/100 in 10 minutes witch isn't very good but since I had a few minutes of it is ok, but next week I will do better!

tech at plastics

 

Today at tech for plastics we finished our key chains, mine is a flower I just had to cut it out and sand it on the sand blaster.

Then we made a back scratcher, it was like a fork but then we melted it on this melting thing and then I bent it on the table.  Then I drew on it with vivid, then we made a spoon first put it in the oven so it would go all soft and then we twisted it up and shaped the spoon so it would curve down so it would be like a spoon.

Then I colored it in.

cooking at tech

 4/3/2021

Today at tech for cooking we made calzone, first we made the dough with yest, flour, warm water, salt and oil.

Then we mixed it up and keeped it on the stove on top of the oven to let the water evaporate.  While we were waiting for the dough we started cutting up whatever we were putting inside our calzones in mine I put cheese, ham, corn, spinach, onion and some mixed herbs.

After we were done we grabbed our dough odd the stove it was so cool there was air bubbles inside and the dough was all stretchy, we rolled out the dough and put out filling in and then I shaped my dough into a bun and I used my excess dough and used it to make a braid and I put it on top.

It was so yummy, I really liked it.
