Term One Reflection!

               My term one reflection

My term one has gone by so fast, and I'm so excited for next term.

Some of my favourite things we've done this term was going to town and watching the Tūmahana performance and I really liked year 8 girls self defence classes. 

I wonder what we are doing next term? I hope we are going to camp, that will be so fun.

I really enjoyed the performance in town. It was so cool, there were silks and acrobatics moves and it was so fun to watch.

I really liked year 8 girls self defence  because we got to hear stories and kick and punch each other and we didn’t have to do any work.

We got to learn how to defend ourselves, it was so fun.

I'm so excited for next term!

strong paragraphs

 This weekend I didn’t do that much.  On Saturday I had art class at 10am, it was fun I made a mushroom on a flower type thing out of clay, it was pretty cool, next time I go I get to paint it, when I finished that I made this dream catcher thing, but I didn’t have time to finish it because my mum came to pick me up.

After that we didn’t really do anything else we had a lazy day, when we got home I put on my pjs and watched youtube for most of the day.

In the afternoon I made some cinnamon pinwheel scones, they were really yummy, I got the recipe from tech, I remembered the whole recipe in my head, but they were pretty good. I was excited waiting for them in the oven, while I was waiting I had to clean the kitchen there was flour all over the bench and a few dishes, it was a long 15 minutes.

I really enjoyed making the cinnamon pinwheel scones they surprisingly worked, I wasn’t sure if it was going to work, and my mum wasn’t happy about me not using a recipe because she thought I would have no idea what I was doing, but they turned out good.

I'm going to make them again with nutella in them maybe.

I didn’t really do much but that's ok, sometimes its ok to have a lazy day and just stay home.

Today I finished my self potrait it has a bunch of funny looking puzzle pieces and there all diffrent , there is 3 eyes, 3 lips and 2 noses.  I happy with it its really diffrent and its strange and its not like other drawings because everyone is diffrent.  The background is all diffrent colors coming out of my face and my face is black and white because I didnt really want to color it in because I thought it would ruin it.

But im happy with how it turned out.

todayat tech 8/4

 Today at tech we made ciname wheelpin scones, first we made the dough with 1 cup of flour, a tablespoon of butter, 1/4 salt, and a tablespoon of baking bowder.                                                                  then we mixed it up withb our hands it felt really nice I really liked the feeling of flour on my fingers, after it was all mixed up we rolled it out.

My favorite part was when we made the spread, you need 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of  butter and a 1/4 teaspoon of cinamoon. And then we spread it on to the dough like a spread and after we grated apple and spinkled it on the dough, rolled it up, cut it into six little rolls and put it in the oven.

They were really yummy I really enjoyed making them.

Self Defence

On Wednesday we did self defence it was so fun, first we heard a few stories about how people defended themselves by using self defence, then we did some kicking and with the kicking pads, it's a bit hard to explain but good places to kick that hurt like the shins.

It was really fun and I'm so excited for next week.

Tech week 10

 Today at tech as usual we did cooking first and we made sushi balls, the rest of my group made them last week but I wasn’t there so I was really happy when I actually got to make them.

First we got our veggies for our riceball, I didn't really want any but I still put some cucumber in, after we started getting ready to cook our chicken, after we cooked it we got this flavouring for our rice ready then we put it in our rice, I tried the rice it tasted it, it was so yummy.

Then we started assembling our riceball first we put some glad wrap in a bowl after we put in half of our rice in the bowl put in the chicken and the cucumber then we put the rest of the rice.

When you finish putting everything in your bowl with the glad rap u close it all up.

It was really good!
